Neemrana Fort was built since 1464 AD by the Rao Rajdeo. The fort palace named after a local chieftain named Nimola Meo, the brave pleaded to the Chauhans after his defeat to lend his name to his lost kingdom, Neemrana Fort-Palace is India's oldest heritage resort. It is also Rajasthan's closest palace from New Delhi, situated at 122 kms. on the Delhi-Jaipur highway (Rajasthan, India) - only 100 kms from Delhi's international airport. The beauty of the fort palace was restored before its conversion into a Heritage Hotel. The old fold mountains of the Aravalis have covered it. It cuts into the hillside and is over 3 acres of land.
The property covers 25 acres/10 hectares and the stepped palaces of this architectural jewel cut into the hillside to sprawl over 3 acres/1.2 hectares and rises to 10 levels commanding the most splendid views. From 1986, the ruins of this Fort-Palace have been sensitively restored and reconstructed. The rooms are furnished with an eclectic mix of traditional Indian and colonial furniture, antiques and object art. Most rooms have private balconies or terraces and the loos are designed to have views! This fact makes it a perfect weekend holiday spot for the city weary people who let their hair down and refresh themselves in the local colors of the land.
The Fort has a beautifully appointed restaurant serving multi-cuisine dishes & provides a beautiful view of the Aravalis. The other facilities offered are 24 hour room service, travel desk, jacuzzi, swimming pool, village safari, jeep safari, camel safari, cultural shows, indoor & outdoor games, Ayurvedic massage & spa treatment, trekking, library etc.
